Sleep with one eye open, gripping your pillow tight

So I slept all of 4 hours last night. I feel like shit. Those pains have been coming on every night, and last night was the worst. I tried to see if I could get an appointment with my PCP's nurse practitioner today, but the best they could do was wednesday. In EBNHC terms, that is a great turn around time. However, I'm sick NOW and have been since october. So Lisa called over there and told them that she's really concerned and wants me seen today. This was left on a VM however, so hopefully we'll get a call back. If not, I think i'm going to go through urgent care. You know, I don't even care about the cough at this point... or the laryngitis to some extent, but I can't sleep and that sucks ass. Hell, they can give me muscle relaxers and I can drool and sleep all weekend for all I care... although I have to drive 7 kids out to framingham tomorrow morning for youth arts ministry rehearsals. The last one we had was in october. November's was cancelled at the last minute and rescheduled to have an additional one in January. THere are only 6 once-a-month rehearsals each year in preparation for performance in May. And the 7 kids are spread out among 4 disciplines. It's not like i'm part of each discipline to be able to help them along on the off-weeks. aye yaye yaye

i pulled a muscle in my shoulder. I believe it is from the violent cringing I was doing with each sharp pain last night. I sleep on my side/stomach and i wasn't able to do that at all. I propped myself up, and laid on my back, but that didn't help either. The nurse on the phone said I should go get some 2x4s and put them under the headboard to lift up the bed so gravity could help with reflux and/or pressure. That's all well and fine, but what happens when my fat ass decides to bend the frame because there is now more force on an uneven tilt??? It is my grandmother's bed! If I break it, I'll die!!!

Well anyway, did I write about going to my first WW meeting? Let me check. . . Nope! I'll have to add that in on my next post.
